DCCCuk is committed to promoting equality, valuing diversity, and fostering inclusion across all its activities. We aim to create an environment where everyone is treated fairly, with dignity and respect.
- Scope
This policy applies to all members, committee members, volunteers, visitors, and participants in DCCCuk events and online platforms.

DCCCuk will:
- Promote equal opportunities and inclusion
- Challenge discrimination, harassment, and victimisation
- Respect individual differences and lived experiences
- Ensure activities are welcoming and accessible wherever reasonably possible
- Protected Characteristics
DCCCuk will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.
- Responsibilities
5.1 The Management Committee is responsible for promoting and monitoring compliance with this policy.
5.2 Members and volunteers are expected to:
- Treat others with respect and fairness
- Avoid discriminatory or offensive behaviour
- Support an inclusive and welcoming environment
- Complaints
Any concerns or complaints relating to equality, diversity, or inclusion should be raised with the Management Committee and will be addressed in line with DCCCuk procedures.
- Breach of Policy
Breaches of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.
- Review
This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated as required.
